2010 Annual Report
Our Mission :
To empower single parents to become financially able to provide for their families without Government funding. With mentoring, supportive services and community resources, our client parents are able to seek job training or a higher education and find their God given purpose in live.
2010 Services
We had 34 referrals; we were blessed to have worked with 28 of these women, and thankful that 16 of them were able to complete their job training. We have 2 clients that will complete their job training in January. We have 4 waiting for funding. We have 6 women that are currently enrolled in classes working on their higher education. This was made possible through the support we received from private donations, fundraisers we held, and grants that we received. We were able to help support them by covering tuition, rent, daycare, transportation expenses, and other expenses that our clients had which totaled $15,871.79. We know that it was a tough year, and we were not able to receive as much funding as we had in 2009. However, what we did receive we were able to use to positively impact the lives of single parents by helping them make a living wage and provide for their families. Now that is a wonderful reason to celebrate their victory. At the end of the year we had 16 active clients, and 29 children.
2011 Goals
What a blessing it is to be able to continue to reach out and meet more single parents that just need someone to believe in them, to be able to continue to grow with more Mentors, Board Members, and Volunteers so that we can better serve our clients, those precious ones that God brings to us to love, encourage, and be there to walk them through a moment in time that could change the rest of their lives.
We would like to serve 30 clients in 2011.
We would like to add 2 more board members to our board.
We would like to add 10 more mentors, and volunteers.
We promise to continue to treat everyone with respect and to protect their dignity all the while leading them one step at a time to the foot of the throne of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
